Once you have implemented your GIS technology you may find that there are specific additional pieces of work that need to be actioned in order to continue to meet your users' business needs.

Examples of GIS projects we have implemented for clients within the E&P industry include:

GIS development

We can develop bespoke GIS software solutions ranging from extensions to existing applications, to full-blown new applications, allowing you to integrate GIS with the needs and current workflows of your petroleum GIS user community.

Spatial analysis and geoprocessing

Having analysed your project requirements and identified the questions that you want to ask, we can define the datasets and spatial analysis workflows required to generate a GIS results set that provides the answers. These workflows can then be provided as an application for re-use within your organisation, such as our ‘Advanced Basin/Acreage Analysis’ toolset which is used to rank exploration opportunities.

3D fly-throughs

Our GIS experts can produce 3D fly-through simulations for your project areas, integrating your own data where required. These simulations can be provided as movies, or as data packages that can be used within packages such as Google Earth™ or TNTSim 3D™.

Data transcription

We can take hardcopy data, data in non-GIS formats or in an incompatible format, and re-format it according to your requirements. If desired, we can provide appropriate utilities and associated workflows to allow you to do this work in-house.

Georeferencing and mosaicking

Georeferencing image and vector data is time consuming and technically challenging. We can georeference your data for you and also conduct additional image processing tasks such as mosaicking. The resulting datasets can be provided in a wide variety of output formats.

Packaging GIS data

We are experienced in creating pre-packaged GIS datasets for delivery on CD or DVD. We can produce ‘run-from-DVD’ packages using TNTatlas™, such as that produced for the PESGB: ‘The Millennium Atlas of the Northern North Sea’. Additionally we can generate ArcGIS Explorer, GeoPDF, ArcGIS™ MXD and ArcGIS Publisher based data packages.
