Exprodat releases NitroView™ 8.3
Exprodat is pleased to announce the latest release of NitroView, its web-based GIS viewer for ArcIMS.
NitroView is built on ESRI’s ArcIMS platform providing the user with a powerful and easy-to-use tool for interacting with map-based data via a Web browser. NitroView's tools are unique in the Web domain and can remove the requirement to deploy desktop GIS for every user in an organisation that wants simple and rapid access to map information.
New functionality in NitroView 8.3 includes the ability to re-symbolise any vector layer as well as to add data from external data sources without first including it in the map service, e.g. WMS Services, ArcSDE layers and shapefile data.
Exprodat’s Technical Director Chris Jepps said, “At version 8.3 NitroView provides the most advanced functionality seen in off-the-shelf web-based GIS clients available to the market. With interactive printing, advanced symbology handling and on-the-fly addition of data, as well as excellent out-of-the-box integration with common E&P information management systems, it allows an organisation's basic web-based GIS users to do whatever they need without having to move into the desktop GIS domain. If you're looking to squeeze as much value as you can out of ArcIMS before moving towards the increased hardware costs and administration overheads associated with migrating to ArcGIS Server, then NitroView 8.3 is for you.”
