Millennium Atlas GIS Version

The Millennium Atlas is now available in GIS format.  This data, a significant contribution to the understanding of the petroleum geology of the North Sea, has been compiled by the editors utilising contributions by some of the most innovative geoscientists currently working the UKCS.  The GIS edition was prepared from the original drafted Atlas figures and contains virtually all the Atlas maps and much additional data as geo-referenced links - including 324 vector/shape files from 58 Atlas figures, 363 geo-referenced images from 89 Atlas figures and the capturing of location and linking of 234 other figures, all with supporting metadata.

There are two GIS versions available - a full access version with data in ArcView/MapInfo format, and a limited access version with data in TNTatlas made available to PESGB members free with the PESGB April 2004 newsletter.

Full Access DVD

In this version, data is distributed in both ArcView® 8.x and MapInfo® formats, allowing companies to integrate the wealth of information in the Atlas with their own data sets. A company-wide licence is available for £9000.  For further information, please contact Exploration Geosciences.

PESGB TNTatlas DVD - April 2004
In this version, the TNTatlas software does not allow export to or import from other databases or formats, and operates only with the data contained on the DVD.  This 'locked' version is offered for personal use or research and education and is available from the PESGB.

If you are having problems with the composite layout on this version please see the support bulletin.
