Team-GIS Acreage Analyst: Key Features

Results Display Analysis module

The analysis module is the engine of the acreage ranking process. It enables the user to specify multiple input datasets which are then analysed with respect to their spatial relationship with the base acreage layer, e.g. by calculating how much of a licence is covered by a reservoir facies, how far blocks are away from supporting infrastructure, or by calculating average play risk value across a region.

Scoring module

The scoring module enables the user to score acreage based on the results generated by the analysis module. This allows the specified exploration opportunities to be ranked according to a user specified scoring schema, with support for data type specific weighting factors.  The concept of ‘show-stopper’ criteria allows the user to reject opportunities where key criteria have not been met, e.g. where play probability is 0.

Results Graph

Reports module

Once acreage has been analysed and scored, results can be presented using the powerful reports module. The reporting module allows the user to rank both acreage and company portfolios using tabular and graph-based views which are fully integrated with the map display. In addition both detailed results and management summary reports can be exported to PDF and Excel formats.

Iteration and standardisation

Analysis and scoring run settings can be quickly recalled and re-run, allowing the user to apply new parameters in order to analyse sensitivities. The ability to rapidly iterate the whole interpretation multiple times can significantly improve the results of the analysis.
