Integrated Environmental Assessment for E&P

This course provides participants with an opportunity to work through two common types of environmental assessment required in the petroleum sector using Esri's ArcGIS Desktop platform:

1. Site assessment for oil and gas drilling operations on land and
2. Pipeline routing overland and in the near-shore aquatic environments.

Integrating environmental information using ArcView provides a powerful method of analysis and communication in environmental assessment.

Pre-requisites

It is assumed that participants of this course will have completed an introductory ArcGIS course or acquired equivalent knowledge. Although petroleum sector knowledge is not required, this course is geared towards assisting participants to use ArcGIS to manage environmental assessments.

Intended audience

HSE professionals and support staff who are going to be undertaking integrated environmental assessments for exploration and production activities requiring the utilisation of multiple spatial data sets.
