Exprodat, the oil and gas ArcGIS platform specialist, has enjoyed a hugely successful trip to Houston, Texas for the annual Esri Petroleum GIS Conference.
This year, Esri CEO Jack Dangermond opened the conference – the twenty-fifth anniversary event – with a plenary presentation that continued to explain his company’s ideas and ambitions for making GIS an organisation-wide application. Something as ubiquitous and as simple to use as email.
ArcGIS is already a widely used software throughout the oil and gas industry, most commonly within exploration, but many departments are still to fully benefit from the advantages the technology can provide.
To address this need, Esri has created a Platform of all of their software that is accessible to everyone via easy to use and understand web applications.
Now oil and gas companies, supported by the implementation and project management skills of Exprodat staff can provide easy and fast access to actionable information throughout their organisations.
Sales Director Jules Cullen commented on the past week; “Travel restrictions, budget cuts and the fallout of company reorganisations can spoil a good conference. Not this years’ PUG! GIS professionals and Esri Business Partners were buzzing with how they are using the ArcGIS Platform to bring about greater efficiency, save costs and make better decisions.
Not only did we talk to our existing customers about continued expansion of GIS across their organisations but people new to us came to find out how implementing the ArcGIS Platform can transform their business, end-to-end and throughout the supply chain.
This is particularly encouraging and demonstratres that in challenging times companies often turn to technology to distinguish themselves from their competition. Thank you to all who visited our booth to share experiences and contribute to another successful event.”
