Exprodat announces that it will be exhibiting at the Esri Petroleum GIS Conference in Houston, TX, between April 30th and May 2nd 2012. Visit booth 711 to see Unconventionals Analyst; an extension to ArcGIS for Desktop for use in unconventional shale and coal bed methane projects and Discovery; Exprodat’s new ArcGIS for Server solution.
Unconventionals Analyst is an extension to Esri’s ArcGIS for Desktop that geospatially optimizes well patterns in order to efficiently develop unconventional fields, and calculates reserve areas to ensure compliant reserves declarations. Unconventionals Analyst help you keep development costs down and minimize environmental impacts by drilling as few wells possible. In addition you can save significant time and effort by rapidly calculating accurate reserve and volumetrics estimates to ensure regulatory compliance in unconventionals reserve calculations.
Discovery is an add-on to Esri’s ArcGIS for Server that enables you to deploy powerful web-mapping applications without needing to do expensive bespoke development. Discovery was designed to meet the specific needs of web-based GIS within the oil and gas industry and combines a Silverlight-based web-mapping application containing advanced data discovery tools with administrative management tools.
Exprodat’s Sales & Marketing Director, Jules Cullen, says, “The Esri PUG conference is a great platform for petroleum companies and GIS experts to come together to learn and innovate. It’s even better when you have exciting new software solutions to share and we look forward to some lively discussion about our software and how it’s being used in both the conventional and unconventionals business.”
Exprodat’s software suite is made up of a number of extensions to Esri’s ArcGIS that provide ‘out-of-the-box’ functionality designed specifically for the needs of the petroleum sector. The software is data independent and allows E&P companies to integrate vendor data with in-house datasets for use in GIS-based data discovery and spatial analysis.
Esri’s 2012 Petroleum GIS Conference (http://www.esri.com/events/petroleum-energy/) is held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, Texas, April 30th to May 2nd 2012.
