Petroleum sector to benefit from powerful, joint GIS solutions
London, United Kingdom, 7th December, 2011 – Exprodat today announced that it has attained Esri Gold Tier status, and has secured a new relationship agreement with Esri UK to jointly provide industry-leading GIS solutions to the petroleum sector. The relationship brings together the UK’s leading oil and gas geoscience and GIS specialists, with the UK’s largest pool of GIS expertise, to develop specialist, innovative GIS solutions specifically for the oil and gas industry.
The new agreement allows use of the latest Esri ArcGIS Server and related GIS technologies within Exprodat’s software solutions, to extend the mapping and spatial functionality it can provide to both new and existing customers. Exprodat’s Gold Tier status comes in recognition of its continued commitment to delivering Esri-based solutions and to their increasing international reach.
Exprodat’s managing director, Gareth Smith, said, “As a long standing member of Esri’s Partner Network, both in the UK and internationally, we greatly value our working relationship. Last year we worked with Esri UK to deliver our petroleum ArcGIS training via public events and this new partnership builds on that, coupling our knowledge of the petroleum sector with Esri UK’s GIS technology and consulting expertise. We’re delighted to announce this relationship, and also our Esri Gold Tier status.”
Esri UK’s head of commercial markets, Amanda Turner, added “We are focusing hard to ensure that this partner agreement works for our joint, valued customer base and new customers beyond. Furthermore we are actively looking at our developing range of solutions and how the petroleum sector can benefit from improved and insightful GIS operational performance.”
