Exprodat, the London-based geospatial experts for energy and Getech Group company, is delighted to announce the release of GA Bridge – a widget that enables ArcGIS Web AppBuilder app creators to send detailed usage information to Google Analytics, allowing them to gain a deep understanding of how their apps are being used.
The widget, available now on Esri’s ArcGIS Marketplace as either a ‘Hosted’ or ‘Developer Edition’ version, will connect Google Analytics to any app and track usage of the app, its data and other widgets.
ArcGIS Administrators using GA Bridge are now able to see which of their widgets are being used most often, what users do with them, how long they use them, where in the world they are using them, which search terms are most popular and which data – such as basemaps and analysis layers- are most commonly used with them.
Getech’s Chief Operating Officer, Chris Jepps explains more about why this development benefits his company’s customers:
“As a GIS administrator, understanding what your users are doing with your ArcGIS apps is essential to help you improve the service you provide your users, and to maximise your organisation’s return on its investment in Esri technology. Using GA Bridge in conjunction with the rich usage tracking reports available in Google Analytics will allow you to see exactly what your web-based ArcGIS users are doing so that you can optimise your apps by increasing functionality around popular content. In addition, removing redundant data and functionality can help ensure your app is as simple as possible to maintain. Access GA Bridge via the ArcGIS Marketplace today to start tracking your app usage in Google Analytics.”
