Alongside industry-leading GIS consulting and training services for the oil and gas sector, Exprodat provides a range of GIS-based software designed specifically for use in petroleum exploration and production (E&P) departments. One of these is the popular KBridge.
Many E&P organisations use SMT’s KINGDOM software to store, visualise and interpret geophysical data. Much of this information becomes even more valuable when viewed within Esri’s ArcGIS software. Exprodat’s KBridge does exactly what its name suggests by enabling data to pass between the two software products, in both directions.
Following the release of version 202 of KBridge, Exprodat has developed the way companies can access this vital link software. KBridge can now be purchased as a standalone licence, a network licence or as a subscription service. These three levels ensure that all users can find exactly the price-point that matches their requirements.
Exprodat’s sales and marketing director Jules Cullen said “We wanted to make sure that even the smallest of oil and gas companies could benefit from the ArcGIS integration provided by KBridge. Our new pricing has an annual subscription option that significantly lowers the cost of ownership of the tool. For organisations with both SMT’s KINGDOM and Esri’s ArcGIS technologies there’s not a more cost effective way to move data between the two.”
KBridge allows users to transfer their KINGDOM well, culture, planimeter polygon, seismic and interpretation data to ArcMap, and vice versa. Using this data integration tool users are able to deploy the powerful spatial analysis capabilities provided by ArcGIS on their KINGDOM project data.
